What is the Women’s Bouldering Festival Luxembourg?
The Women’s Bouldering Festival Luxembourg is a day dedicated to movement, empowerment, connection and celebration through bouldering.
Whether you are completely new to bouldering or an experienced climber, the festival is a welcoming space to climb, learn something new, meet other climbers and celebrate women in all their diversity.
The festival is organised as a 100% volunteer-run initiative by the climbing community in Luxembourg.
When is the 2026 festival?
The 4th edition of the Women’s Bouldering Festival Luxembourg takes place on:
Sunday 27 September 2026
More information about the exact programme and schedule will be announced soon.
Where does the festival take place?
The 2026 festival will take place at BoulderForest in Leudelange, Luxembourg.
BoulderForest is a brand-new bouldering gym and has not yet officially announced its opening date. The gym is currently communicating that it is “opening soon.”
We are very excited to welcome the WBF Lux community to this new climbing location!
Is the festival indoors or outdoors?
Indoors! 🧗♀️
For the first time, WBF Luxembourg will take place inside a climbing gym.
This means that weather will not affect the festival. No rain, wind or other outdoor weather conditions can cancel the event.
After having to cancel the 2025 outdoor edition because of poor weather conditions, we are especially happy to be able to say:
WBF Lux 2026 is happening, rain or shine! 💜
How can I pay for my WBF ticket and/or shirt?
Payment can be made by bank transfer to Boulder Klub Lëtzebuerg. Please include your full name and date of birth with the payment so we can match it to your registration.
Bank details:
Boulder Klub Lëtzebuerg
IBAN: LU04 0019 5155 7131 5000
If you are paying for a shirt as well as your ticket, you can make one combined payment. Please make sure the total amount is correct.
Do I need to be an experienced climber?
Absolutely not!
The festival is open to all climbing levels, from complete beginners to experienced boulderers.
If you have never tried bouldering before, this is a great opportunity to discover the sport in a friendly and supportive environment. If you are already an experienced climber, there will be plenty for you to enjoy too.
Can complete beginners participate?
Yes!
You don’t need previous climbing experience to join the festival.
We want WBF Lux to be a place where everyone feels comfortable trying something new, regardless of their experience, strength or climbing level.
More information about beginner-friendly activities and workshops will be announced with the programme.
Is the festival only for women?
The festival celebrates and supports women in bouldering, but everyone is welcome.
Our aim is to create an inclusive environment where people can come together, connect and celebrate the climbing community.
What can I expect at the festival?
The programme will include a mix of bouldering, workshops, activities, community moments and good vibes.
Previous editions have included activities such as beginner bouldering sessions, climbing-related workshops, yoga, nutrition, massage, movement and performance sessions, as well as opportunities to meet other people from the climbing community.

Do I need to bring my own climbing shoes?
You are welcome to bring your own climbing shoes.
As the festival takes place in a climbing gym, it is possible to rent climbing shoes on location.
Do I need to bring my own chalk?
If you have your own chalk and chalk bag, feel free to bring them.
More information about the facilities and equipment at BoulderForest will follow once the gym announces further details about its opening.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable sports clothing that allows you to move freely.
For bouldering, we recommend comfortable trousers or shorts and a top that you can move easily in.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes! We are planning food and drinks as part of the festival atmosphere.
More information about the food and catering options will be announced together with the programme.
Is the festival accessible by public transport?
BoulderForest is located in Leudelange, Luxembourg.
We will share detailed information about how to get to the festival, including public transport, cycling and parking options, closer to the event.
Is there parking?
More information about parking at or near BoulderForest will be announced once the gym has shared its official access information.
Can I come if I don’t want to climb?
Of course!
You can join the festival for the community, workshops, activities and atmosphere even if you don’t want to spend the whole day on the wall. You can get your ticket here.
Is there an age limit?
The festival is intended for adults, but also here everyone is welcome.
Where does the money from the festival go?
The Women’s Bouldering Festival Luxembourg is organised by volunteers and aims to combine climbing with support for meaningful local causes.
Since 2025, WBF Luxembourg has proudly supported Passerell a.s.b.l., a Luxembourg organisation working to promote and protect the fundamental rights of vulnerable people.
What happened to the 2025 edition?
The 2025 edition was planned as an outdoor festival at Parc Brill in Mamer. Unfortunately, the event had to be cancelled because of poor weather conditions and safety concerns.
The community still came together for a smaller meet-up at Boulder Klub Lëtzebuerg, where the WBF team and participants raised €1,300 for Passerell.
For 2026, we are taking the festival indoors — so weather is no longer a reason to cancel! 🎉
Is the festival definitely happening if it rains?
YES! ☔️➡️🧗♀️
That’s one of the best things about WBF Lux 2026.
Because the festival takes place indoors at BoulderForest, the event can go ahead regardless of rain or other outdoor weather conditions.
So save the date: Sunday 27 September 2026. We’ll see you there!
I still have a question. Who can I contact?
If your question isn’t answered here, get in touch with the WBF Lux team at:

We’d love to hear from you!
